I knew that there was to be a lot of police prepared to arrest what was ultimately a group of nearly 200 demonstrators. My primary concern, GET THE SHOT, and then there was DON’T GET ARRESTED/ aka, “don’t get camera gear confiscated” coming in a very close second, especially before I have a chance to get the shot. Walking amongst the demonstrators I was able to shoot without conflict so long as I kept out of the way of the police officers. (previously I had started photographing the event by tagging along to the union hall where those willing to be arrested were meeting to be briefed, but that was merely the prologue)
Anyhow, being a photo blog I will let the majority of my post be spoken with the captured image.
